Overview
Named after our famous Echo Parakeet, this trail used to house some of the nests of these rare birds nor so long ago. The birds are now saved from extinction but the trail name has remained.
This is a small trail that winds its way down to the Black River National Parks visitors centre giving an alternative view on the Gorges.
Though it has less varied views to offer compared to the Macchabé trail, it is less travelled and offers a nice river walk with the possibility of a dip far from unwanted eyes.
The trail is generally downhill with steep slopes at times.
