Vertical World participated in the Dodo Trail 2024, providing Rescue and Race Marshalling services for the 50km, 25km, 10km and 5km races.
1. Rescue Services
Vertical World attended to one incident during the Dodo Trail where a participant was lost and suffering from dehydration and hypothermia. The team succesfully located, stabilised and retrieved the participant who was handed over to the medical services.
2. Race Marshalling
Alongside ROAG, Vertical World provided race marshalling services for the Dodo Trail. This involved tracking the runners throughout the race to ensure all runners were accounted for. The team had marshals at each checkpoint and at the rescue outposts. A system called LiveTrail was trialled for managing runners and estimating their completion times across each checkpoint.
